Bassim Sabawi is a Middle Eastern artist originally from Baghdad. By trade he is a civil engineer, with an eye for oils and painting. His paintings highlight the feminine form, all while exploring the rich contrast that exists between light and darkness in a visual balance combining emotion with thought to present creative pieces express the self.
With his art, Bassim expresses the details of the existence, reality, dreams and conflicts in the human, especially in woman. He tries to portray the woman’s existence in relation to herself and others.
His first show was in Kansas City, and Bassim will continue to showcase his artwork throughout the community.
